I highly recommend Roots of Faith. The author brings to life four families that exemplify true passion for their homeland, their families, and above all their God. This book describes struggles that Christians endured in everyday life and yet kept their faith, strong beliefs, and conviction to the Lord. I gained a deeper respect for the earlier Christians that fought hard to gain freedom that has allowed future generations opportunities to worship freely. Reading this book has given me a renewed spirit on my journey with the Lord. It definitely touched my heart and strengthened my faith. Thank you Anthony Cleveland for sharing this inspiring book!
A very good read!
Very interesting and enjoyable read. It details how religion evolved through the many years by detailing what the families had to endure to bring about the changes from paganism to faith in God and Christ our Savior. I'm thankful for those early people who made it possible for me to worship without fear of any kind of persecution or retaliation.
This book has everything! History, faith, strong characters both men and women and interesting stories about the authors ancestors. I especially liked the message of hope and faith woven through out the narrative. The idea that Jesus can be found anywhere and not just through one church or religion is a message that is very much needed today!
